Pope Francis dedicated his message for the World Day of Peace, celebrated on 1st January 2024, to the key role of Artificial Intelligence in building peace.

In the first magisterial document dedicated to AI, His Holiness delved into the use of technology as a path to peace, highlighting the importance of enhancing the ethical dimension of AI, to the point of stating: “The way we use it to include vulnerable brothers is the measure that reveals our humanity.”

The Special Mission of the Sovereign Order of Malta for the New Forms of Exclusion regularly collaborates with various institutions of the Holy See, such as the AI Adviser to Pope Francis, the Pontifical Academy for Life, the Vatican Centre for Digital Culture and the Human Technology Foundation.
