The Special Envoy participated in the Conference of Ambassadors of the Sovereign Order of Malta that took place in the Magistral Villa from 25 to 27 January, organised by the Gran Chancellery. Is was opened with an inaugural message from the Grand Master, H.M.E.H. Fra’ John Dunlap.

Some 100 ambassadors of the Sovereign Order of Malta discussed the general state of the art. They also examined, leaded by the Grand Chancellor, H.E. Riccardo Paternò di Montecupo, with the input of numerous authoritative guests, some strategic themes for the Order of Malta’s centuries-old spiritual and humanitarian mission.

The summit finished with an audience with Pope Francis in the Apostolic Palace on 27th January. His Holiness stated that the diplomacy of the Sovereign Order is “an instrument of apostolic activity among the international community, witnessing God’s love to those in need”.
